I didn’t know anything about self defense products prior to my brother’s unfortunate run in with a robber on his way back from a concert in Bristol.

Pete recounted how a man was holding him at knifepoint in a deserted parking lot. The thief wanted his money and possessions in exchanger his life. Not seeing nay other option, my brother gave up his cash, cellular phone and mp3 player.

When he stumbled home, he appeared shell shocked and we were all immediately upset over his situation. He promised he wasn’t hurt but even after a few days had past, he would continually complain that he could have retained his stuff if only he had fought back or had defense weapons like a stun gun or pepper spray with him.

Being the older sibling, I was more concerned about how he could defend himself because of his slight frame. I quickly went online to look for more information about self defense products.

We looked over multiple gadgets and discussed how each could have helped him in his situation. I suggested that some hidden cameras in the parking lot could have assisted the cops in apprehending the mugger. And he offered that a personal alarm might have discouraged the thief.

Our mom found out about our interest in self defense products and opted to get our family some. She got a couple of stun guns, some pepper spray and safety lights that would be a useful device when we were out at the evening.

The harrowing incident that my brother went through persuaded me to always have someone escort me to and from work. But when it was impossible to catch someone available, it was a relief to have some self defense products on my person.

I want to never have to use them on anyone but if the situation ever arrives, I’m confident in my security.
