Not long ago, I put a few good sized garden pots out in my front yard for decoration purposes. I live pretty close to a school so I get quite a bit of foot traffic through and near my yard. My main concern was that eventually, someone would either try to vandalize them by smashing them into pieces or try to haul them away.

My solution that I came up with has kept them where they belong for over two years. And, the best part is that its so simple that anyone should be able to do it. For my own yard, I used three medium to large sized garden pots but any number of pots will do.

One of the problems for home owners is that stores and other businesses have got their act together and are very well protected in general. This has forced the average criminal too turn his attention to houses.
