Panic rooms, commonly known as safe rooms, are not meant for the general public. They are mostly made for high profile and wealthy individuals and families. Many panic room manufacturers do not disclose a lot of detailed information about their safe rooms because their clients pay a lot of money to keep things private.

Making sure you home is safe should be a top priority. You can provide protection for your home with some basic house improvements. Here are just a few ideas.

Install new locks on your windows and doors. Many older locks are not very strong and should be replaced. If your windows, especially second story windows, do not have locks on them make certain to add some. Make certain all doors to the outside have dead bolts.

Trim your hedges that are unruly or high enough to block the view of your yard. None of your doors or windows should be blocked. All possible places that anyone can enter your property should be visible.
