No matter where you live or where you work, there is always the risk that a fire may start. A conveniently placed fire extinguisher could be your first line of defense, and may save lives and property. Fire extinguishers are mandatory at places where the incidence of fire is higher than normal, notably places like service stations and restaurants.

Fire extinguishers come in a variety of sizes. There are the heavy duty types that you would find at places like oil refineries. These ones may require more than one person to carry them conveniently. Next you’ll find the smaller portable types that you find in small shops or residences.

One of the most common materials used to protect land and property and animals has long been barbed wire (or barb wire). Made of twisted strands of wire that has thorn like pricks that are razor sharp, lining the surface of the fence, barbed wire has proven to be very effective in serving its purpose. They have been particularly successful in keeping cattle and livestock away from the fence.
